Anawalt Lumber is one of the last family-owned and operated lumber companies in Los Angeles.
Our primary location in West L.A. was opened in 1923 amid lima bean fields when neither Pico nor Sepulveda Boulevards were paved roads. Since then we've opened three additional locations, we're proud to continually serve the communities we have been a part of for so long.
Our West Hollywood location opened in 1948, just after WWII. Our third location was originally in Inglewood before moving in 1981 to its current location on Highland Boulevard. That property had originally been a lumber yard in the 1920s. The Malibu store opened in August 2011. The Anawalts have been longtime Malibu residents, and it was Dave Anawalt's dream to open a store in the area after Malibu Lumber Yard shut its doors.
One way we have remained successful is by focusing on customer service and the personal attention that can be hard to find at our big-box competitors. Our knowledgeable sales associates are always ready to assist you with your needs, from small projects to big ones. Special orders are never a problem, and we offer prompt delivery service.
